If you are a newbie to clay, this one’s for you! This a one-time, 2 hour class for students to throw with clay for the first time. Each student will gain the fundamental knowledge of basic wheel throwing skills.

Knack Studio + Stump have teamed up to create a fun, learning workshop centered around… you guess it - PLANTS!
In a nutshell, you’ll make a planter at Knack Studio. Once it’s fired, you’ll be given a $15 voucher to pick out the perfect plant from Stump. The team at Stump will help you repot your new plant in its new home.

LEVEL: BEGINNER
Girl Dinner... #iykyk! This a one-time, 2 hour hand building workshop focused on creating modern snack plates!
Each student will design and cut their plate from a pre-rolled clay slab.
Boards will be approximately 9” finished size or smaller. Feel free to bring textural elements such as lace/fabrics, plants, etc to press into the clay adding a personal touch.

WE OFFER 5-WEEK WHEEL THROWING & 4-WEEK HANDBUILDING CLASSES. OUR CURRICULUM IS DESIGNED TO DEVELOP AND BUILD ON FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS NEEDED IN A CERAMIC STUDIO.

Our SEMESTER classes are a great way to DEEP DIVE INTO LEARNING CLAY TECHNIQUES with guided instruction.

This course is our introduction to the art of wheel throwing. Students will develop fundamental skills on the wheel - centering, opening & pulling walls. Students will also learn the basics of trimming and glazing their unique forms.

A continuation of our SPIN wheel throwing series. In this class, students learn to properly connect two clay parts using the score and slip method. Focus will be placed on joining handles, feet and 3D elements to wheel thrown pieces.

GUIDED HONE IT is a new semester class offering for current students with prior experience to hone their ceramic skills. An instructor will be hands-on while helping students hone their wheel throwing skills. This option is great for anyone that needs a little extra focus on centering, pulling walls, shaping & trimming.
CLASS REQUIREMENTS: 18+; Intermediate throwing knowledge requuired.
