GLASS INSTRUCTOR
Job description
Knack Studio – Savannah is looking for a skilled and engaging GLASS INSTRUCTOR to join our creative team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with stained glass and enjoys teaching, guiding, and supporting students in a welcoming studio environment.
This role requires a solid understanding of the stained glass process (soldering and fusion), tools, and terminology, as well as the ability to clearly demonstrate techniques and support students of varying skill levels.
Role and Responsibilities
Lead and instruct glass classes, workshops, and one-time experiences
Demonstrate stained glass techniques including cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, and finishing.
Guide students through projects while ensuring safety and proper tool usage
Prepare the studio before classes and assist with light cleanup after classes
Communicate supply needs and class feedback to Studio Owner
Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment
Able to troubleshoot basic project issues and adapt instruction to different learning styles
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience working with stained glass is required
Comfortable teaching or guiding groups in a creative setting
Strong communication skills and a patient, supportive teaching style
Ability to manage time, stay organized, and lead a class independently
Reliable, proactive, and able to work without direct supervision
Schedule:
Part-Time
3-4 hour shifts; Friday pm and Saturday am availability preferred
